OpenTour

An open, portable package format for virtual tours: panoramas, scene graph, hotspots, floor plans, multi-language content, accessibility metadata and licensing, with optional 3D assets (point clouds, Gaussian splats) in existing open formats. Planned tooling: reference read/write library and CLI, validator and conformance suite, converters from closed platforms (Matterport, Kuula, Pano2VR), and a panorama processing library (seam correction, nadir patching, projection conversion, privacy blurring). Goal: museums, municipalities, archives and small businesses can own and preserve their spatial records without vendor lock-in.
