CadQuery

CadQuery is an open source Python library for building parametric 3D CAD models using scripts. It is built on the Open CASCADE Technology (OCCT) kernel — the same industrial-grade geometry engine used in professional CAD software — giving it capabilities far beyond simpler tools like OpenSCAD. CadQuery supports high-quality, lossless formats including STEP, DXF, AMF, and 3MF, and integrates with JupyterLab and the CQ-editor GUI for interactive design. It is used across a wide range of fields, from fusion energy research to robotics to tabletop game development. The project is maintained by a small team of 3 core maintainers and relies entirely on community support to sustain ongoing development and maintenance.
