Honguera is an open hardware platform for precision fungal cultivation. It uses ESP32 microcontrollers, environmental sensors (temperature, humidity, CO₂), MQTT telemetry, InfluxDB, Grafana dashboards, and Node-RED automation to monitor and control growth chambers for edible mushrooms. The entire system is open source: hardware designs (CERN-OHL-S), firmware (GPLv3), data stack, and species-specific environmental profiles. It aims to make controlled-environment agriculture accessible to small producers, technical schools, and bio-entrepreneurs in the Global South.
