abap-mcp

abap-mcp (MIT, npm) is the only MCP server that gives any LLM offline static analysis, ABAP Cloud / Clean Core readiness checks, and RAP scaffolding for SAP ABAP — with no SAP system, credentials, or vendor cloud required. It is listed on the official MCP registry (io.github.palimkarakshay/abap-mcp).

Why it matters: SAP ECC mainstream maintenance ends in 2027, pushing thousands of organisations (including governments and UN agencies still on ECC) through the largest legacy-code modernisation wave in enterprise software, against a shrinking ABAP workforce. SAP's own AI tooling (Joule) is licensed and system-connected; abap-mcp is the open, offline alternative — critical for security-constrained teams (public sector, defence, regulated industries) that cannot send code to vendor clouds.

Funding supports a solo maintainer: tracking abaplint and MCP-spec evolution, expanding the Clean Core readiness rule packs, and hardening the server for enterprise/public-sector use.
