IFID is building a deterministic ingredient identity substrate for India's packaged food ecosystem. It uses the E-M-F Tri-Axial Identity Model (Entity, Material, Function) to resolve ingredient identity across regulatory, trade, and common-parlance naming systems. The dataset covers ~1,900–2,100 ingredient rows with schema grounded in FSSAI regulations, ITC-HS nomenclature, and Supreme Court classification precedents. IFID is designed as open data infrastructure — neutral, auditable, and reusable by researchers, regulators, and public health practitioners. Current work includes allergen identity mapping, additive classification, and a TypeDB-backed curation pipeline. Published outputs available at https://zenodo.org/communities/isrl/
