A free AGPLv3 toolkit that lets any solo operator, researcher, or small team build their own autonomous discovery agent. It harvests sources across the open web, classifies and scores them with a rotating cascade of free-tier models (zero marginal cost), runs a bounded multi-hop crawl, and formulates cross-domain intersections — where two unrelated signals suggest an opportunity neither could surface alone. Echo is the open-source engine beneath a private discovery agent (Khashif), shipped so the architecture is reusable: the free-tier cost-cascade, the intersection primitive, pluggable storage and outbound adapters (sqlite/Supabase, GitHub issues/Resend), and an echo/return-listening layer. Submitted to NLnet NGI Zero Commons (code 2026-06-2f6). FLOSS/fund support would fund the v1 public build: the discovery and crawl engine, the intersection engine, reference adapters, and documentation so downstream operators can run their own discovery substrate.
