Aurélien Pierre

Independent engineer, photographer and musician. I wrote the scene-referred imaging modules shipped in darktable between 2018 and 2022 (filmic RGB, tone equalizer, colour balance RGB, diffuse or sharpen) and created Ansel by forking darktable in 2022. This account funds what I carry personally: eleven websites (about 48,000 pages read a month) including 25 open research articles publishing the mathematics in full, a free photography school of 118 pages, a 140,000-word book on design and engineering given away in French and English, my scores and recordings, and the repositories on my own GitHub account listed below. The bill is web hosting at 160 €/year, which also runs chantal.aurelienpierre.com — the only dynamic service in the network. Everything is free to read and use, with no account, no advertising and no tracker, and stays that way. No future work is promised: this funds keeping what exists online and available.
