Freenet Project Inc is a Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that develops Freenet, an open-source decentralized platform for applications that run without centralized servers. We maintain the core protocol plus apps built on it, including River (decentralized group chat) and Harvest (a marketplace). The nonprofit is currently funded by grants and donations, and is seeking funding to harden the platform's security and resilience.
