Demir Ajvazi

Individual
Independent software developer from Serbia, building the Ultra family of open-source applications since April 2026: creative tools (video, audio, music and photo editing, captions, recording, audio description), security and system utilities, Android apps and AI tools. Everything is designed so that keyboard and screen reader users and mouse users get the same full experience. I use the JAWS screen reader every day myself, so every feature is tested that way from day one.

Background: degree in English Language and Literature (University of Novi Sad), freelance English-Serbian translation, and about fifteen years of repairing and servicing computers and phones before moving into software development.

In about six months the Ultra project has grown to ten public repositories and more than fifteen applications, almost all under GPL-3.0, with installers and automated GitHub release pipelines. Funding lets me keep this pace as my main work instead of a side effort: finishing and maintaining the existing apps, paying real users to test them, and building the next ones.
