I am an independent open-source maintainer based in Ioannina, Greece, and the sole active core maintainer of FIT Parser and Sports Lib. The projects build on earlier work and community contributions. I maintain these shared libraries across my own projects and for other developers who need interoperable sports and activity data.

The libraries currently receive no funding. Quantified Self is a downstream application; its subscription revenue roughly covers its server costs and does not provide meaningful funding for library development. This request supports the public libraries and their users.

AI-assisted development is part of my workflow. The proposed funded work includes maintainer review, automated regression tests and documented release checks. Funding would support sustained maintenance, compatibility and documentation.

Delivery plan: During the first month I would publish a prioritized issue and compatibility baseline. The middle months would deliver tested fixes and documented releases across both libraries. The final month would consolidate examples, migration guidance and a public maintenance report. Progress would be evidenced by issues, pull requests, regression tests, releases and documentation. Exact fixes will be selected from reproducible issues and downstream needs; no fixed number of vulnerabilities or features is promised.

Other funding: I submitted a separate FIT Parser application to the GitHub Secure Open Source Fund in November 2026; no award has been received. If it is awarded, I will disclose it and agree distinct work and time allocations before accepting overlapping support. The same work or hours will not be charged to two funders.
