LLM4S Foundation

LLM4S Foundation is a community-led open-source group stewarding LLM4S, a Scala-native framework for building production-grade LLM applications. LLM4S Foundation is not yet a registered legal entity, but we are actively raising funds to complete legal registration and establish a stronger long-term governance structure. Until registration is complete, public donations and grants are handled transparently through Open Collective. The project is maintained by a small core team and supported by a global community of Scala, JVM, AI, and open-source contributors through GitHub, Discord, public documentation, and weekly Dev Hours. LLM4S also participated in Google Summer of Code 2025 under the Scala Center umbrella, where four interns from the United States, Switzerland, and India were funded to work on the project during summer 2025.
