I'm Ran Aroussi, a software developer based in the UK. I have been writing code for more than 35 years, and I created and maintain yfinance and QuantStats, two of the most widely used open-source finance libraries in Python. Between them they are downloaded more than 19 million times a month from PyPI, and they are used every day by students, teachers, researchers, independent investors, data scientists and companies around the world.
Both libraries are Apache-2.0 licensed and free for anyone to use. This application asks for support so that I can give them steady, dedicated maintainer time: triaging issues, reviewing pull requests, fixing breakage quickly, hardening the release process, and improving tests and documentation. Each project below has its own plan and its own funding request.
