Samuele Giampieri created RedAmon in December 2025 and is its lead maintainer. He is an independent software engineer based in Italy and maintains the project with co-maintainer Ritesh Gohil and a community of outside contributors. Grants for RedAmon are shared equally between its two maintainers, Samuele Giampieri and Ritesh Gohil, and paid to each directly where the funder allows it; otherwise they are paid to Samuele Giampieri, who pays Ritesh Gohil's share.
