Janastu

Janastu is a people-oriented, open-source collective working to enable community storytelling by the people, for the people. Janastu, as Servelots, began in 1999 when a group of computer scientists came together to provide low-cost and user-friendly software solutions to small enterprises. In 2002, Servelots initiated Janastu, which provides innovative open-source solutions to not-for-profits and communities. We have worked regionally, nationally, and internationally with a wide range of partners. Our mission is to build decentralized, community-owned networks to provision local connectivity in remote areas and to facilitate Internet, technology, and crafts literacy.
