RISC OS Open Limited (ROOL) manages the Open Source RISC OS as a not-for-profit activity. RISC OS was first released in 1987 by iconic British computer company Acorn Computers and was created by the same team who designed the original Arm microprocessor. Activities include exhibiting at computer shows to promote RISC OS, participating in discussions on our forums, publishing supporting documentation, project managing a number of community developers to enhance the operating system - all with the aim of safeguarding the past, present and future of RISC OS for everyone.
