F-Droid hosts thousands of FOSS Android apps on our main repo, but developers remain critically undercompensated for their contributions. We are seeking funding specifically to work on embedding Floss Funds funding.json into our new app submission process so new apps will be featured in the Floss Fund directory moving forward. Additionally we would like to build out user-friendly tooling, making it easier for FOSS developers to run effective fundraising campaigns.

To keep F-Droid financially sustainable, we are seeking funding to create engaging assets—like banners, videos, and infographics—and add integrated tools like a donation widget with real-time goals to our website and client. Our aim is to show how donations fund servers, development, and accessibility, while making the impact of each contribution clear and transparent across our site, app, and social media.

This tier specifically reflects the idea that "If everyone who used F-Droid could tip in with $1 a month" we'd have stable support.
