DiffCI

Build and publish a reproducible evaluation framework for running DiffCI Core against real open-source repositories and historical changes. Publish methodology and results, including successful selections, conservative fallbacks, unsupported cases and cases where selective planning does not produce runtime savings. The goal is to establish transparent evidence rather than rely on synthetic benchmarks alone.

Improve GitHub Actions and repository analysis, including dependency impact, job and task relationships, matrix and conditional workflow understanding, reusable workflow handling and conservative behavior for unsupported or incomplete configurations. Add regression tests for discovered edge cases and preserve full-run fallback when sufficient evidence is unavailable.

Extend DiffCI Core beyond its initial JavaScript and TypeScript focus by designing and implementing reusable language and build-system integration boundaries and adding support for additional widely used open-source development ecosystems. Prioritize ecosystems based on reproducible repository evaluations and community demand rather than claiming universal language support.

Develop an open and reproducible methodology for measuring CI work, runtime and compute effects and for estimating associated energy and carbon impact. Clearly distinguish directly measured values from modeled estimates and publish assumptions used for environmental calculations. Validate the methodology against real CI workloads where practical.

Improve installation, documentation, examples, security guidance, contribution workflows and release packaging so independent developers and open-source projects can evaluate DiffCI Core without using a proprietary service. Publish evaluation reports and project updates and engage with the FOSS community through public technical writing, demonstrations or talks.
