A dependency-light static web app that answers one question for any point in its coverage: which civic districts contain it, and who represents you there. It reports every boundary at once — wards, county boards, state and federal legislative districts, judicial subcircuits, police districts and beats, school attendance zones, townships, municipalities and special districts — and names the officeholder wherever a published roster can be verified. Six places are live: Illinois, all 72 counties of Wisconsin, all 99 counties of Iowa, all 83 counties of Michigan, New York City and San Francisco. Behind it is the part that is actually hard: an automated pipeline that scrapes, rebuilds and gates county-level boundary and roster data from several hundred separate government publishers, most of which have no API, and some of which publish only a scanned map or answer only by e-mail. 91 Illinois counties are served, out of 102. Every layer names the publisher its boundary came from and where its officeholder names come from; every absence is recorded as a public gap record rather than left silently missing; and an officeholder is never guessed — where no verifiable roster exists the app links the official body instead. Those rules are enforced by tests in CI, not by convention.
